Welcome to my beautiful little corner in the British countryside!

Join me on a journey of mindful, slow & eco friendly living.

Hey, I’m Alexandra, or Alex for short. Thank you for taking time to have a little peak into my world!

I like to spend my days going on long, rambling countryside walks, swimming in our local lake, growing vegetables, foraging for mushrooms and edible wheats and cooking vegan meals. I’m an expert at getting lost in our local forest, love a good DIY and once rescued a baby badger.

I’ve always had a love for wild life and the great outdoors. But going vegan over five years ago was what really sparked my interest in our beautiful and mysterious planet. I started to understand just how much we depend on the health and wellbeing of this planet and started to reflect on the impact we have just by living our daily lives. And so began my journey to a more sustainable life.

Venturing down that path has helped me form a deeper connection with the natural world around me and eventually led me to moving from busy London to the countryside. My partner and I gladly traded in our city life for a slow and quiet one in a (slightly crumbling) 16th century Tudor farm house surrounded by nature. We share a small and cozy studio apartment with a fire place and a beautiful garden with ponds, a vegetable patch, fruit trees and birds nests.

While I’m trying to tread lightly on this earth I am watching my world become bigger and fuller as a result. I’ve started to feel an appreciation for the small things in life like I have never before, or at least not for a very long time. It may sound like a cliché but a slower pace and more mindful way of living really has brought back the kind of joy and content I last experienced as a child. And I would love to share as much of it as I can with you!
